Sandy Walter, LPC

Biography

Sandy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and has been working for Pittsburgh Pastoral Institute since 2008. Using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) she encourages clients to challenge their thinking and work towards positive changes. She enjoys working with individuals age 7 – 65 specializing in mood disorders (depression, anxiety, OCD), and with couples relationship restoration.

This is a second career for Sandy. After working in the business arena for years she had three children and became a stay at home Mom. Once her youngest child started first grade she started graduate school for Counseling Psychology at Chatham University where she received her Master’s degree. Sandy has been working in the Mental Health field since 2004.

When she is not working Sandy enjoys time with family hiking and playing golf. She is open to speaking with you as much or as little as you are comfortable about the Bible and her background is Christian.
