Paul Osterman, LCSW

Biography

Paul utilizes a holistic approach to therapy reflecting his belief in the three-dimensional nature of mind, body and soul/spirit. His spiritual beliefs come from both Eastern and Western practices.

Paul received his MSW from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993. He has specialized in mental health, mental retardation, drug & alcohol addictions and uses a variety of therapy styles including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamics during his sessions. He has taught Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills to Intensive Outpatients at Western Psychiatric Institute, as well as with Pittsburgh Pastoral Institute. He has seen individuals and couples at the Pittsburgh Pastoral Institute for over 25 years.

When he is not working he enjoys volunteering for his church and various therapy groups. He genuinely enjoys helping people and watching personal growth. Paul demonstrates spirituality in his daily life, not only during meditation but also through his involvement in his church.
