Patricia Saunders-Madison, Ph.D., has experience in health care, education, and other non-profit settings. Dr. Saunders-Madison has held leadership positions at The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh where she served as the Executive Director of Project STAR to working at Pressley Ridge Schools, where she was the executive director of the Treatment Foster care program. Saunders-Madison worked at Wilkinsburg schools in conjunction with the System of Care where she had full responsibility of Community Connections for Families and Partnerships for Youth Transitions programs. Moreover, Dr. Saunders-Madison worked as a psychotherapist at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.
Dr. Saunders-Madison served as a consultant to numerous local and national organizations as well as provided, individual and family counseling to diverse and at-risk populations. In addition, before joining the Pittsburgh Pastoral staff she created and worked in her own private practice for 13 years. Issues related to grief and loss, life transitions as well as working with individuals, families and couples are Dr. Saunders-Madison's preferred areas of interest and populations to work with.
Having earned her Doctorate in Counselor Education, Dr. Saunders-Madison is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
