Nancy is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a spiritual director. She has been a professional counselor for over 10 years. Life and relationships are messy and she is passionate about being with people as they navigate relationship issues, self-awareness, reactivity, health issues, work issues, and all the things that catch us off guard and become obstacles to living a better life. She has a strength based and mindfulness approach and utilizes the IFS (Internal Family Systems) model to help individuals grow their relationship with themselves and others.
She sees therapy as a journey that she is privileged to be invited into with families, couples, and individuals. She journeys with people to explore their situations and find fruitful ways to grow through seeing situations from a different vantage point and through gaining skills and insights.
She has been meditating for over 20 years, has sat with many Buddhists, walked many labyrinths; currently she participates in regular Christian silent retreats, guides individuals through the St. Ignatius exercise’s and belongs to a Presbyterian church. Nancy believes that we all understand the universe in different ways and the willingness to be open to a higher presence is the key to growing deeper spiritually. She believes that there is a higher purpose to follow and learn from, which truly allows her to continue growing.
When she is not working she enjoys photography, hiking (or quietly meandering), meditating, singing and spontaneous dancing often with her inter-generational household as a 7th generation Southwestern Pennsylvanian.
